Too Fast

My days seem so long but time is seriously just flying by!

Penelope is already 12 weeks old! 12 weeks!!! She is such a wonderful baby. She is wearing 6 month clothing. She smiles so much and even gives us pouty faces. The pouty lip nearly kills me. It just makes my heart swell with so much joy. I know, I know- I shouldn't encourage the pout. But, wow. It's the cutest thing ever!

Penna also loves watching Evelyn do anything and she gives her this look that I can't really describe. It's just that look a sister gives a sister.

She's starting to grab things and really kick and play in her activity gym. My baby has somehow turned into an Infant!

Evelyn is learning about two words a week. But, don't ask her to repeat them. She's stubborn. She doesn't like to be put on "performance" mode and will give you this look that says "If you ask me to say 'George' one more time, I'm gonna get you back in my teenage years with some craziness." We wisely have learned to not pester her about her new words. She gradually just works them into conversation. It's probably healthier that way. I'd hate it if someone was always asking me to say the same word over and over again. She's probably keeping words to herself just to avoid the confrontation.

Evelyn also has become the most darling little Mommy. She seriously is so good with Penelope and her dolls. She gives the best kisses. Immediately identifies when Penelope needs her pacifier. And, she won't go anywhere in the house without her set of "Babies." This is, of course, her favorite word and the only word she enjoys repeating. Everything is all about her babies!

And me- my newest challenge is trying to wean myself from the caffeine that has carried me through these crazy 12 weeks. We'll see how that goes. I'm giving myself an "out" and allowing myself to drink caffeine when I work because that'd simply be impossible to pull off. I'll keep you updated! Hopefully I can be nice through this process.
